FlashForward review

Posted on 28 September 2009 by admin

I guess you all know or at least have heard of the new ABC show FlashForward, well I recently watched the pilot episode – and its amazing!

I think that this will fill the whole left by LOST when that finishes next year, FlashForward is the next Sci-fi television show that will take the internet by storm. Although this is nothing like LOST, fans will will see a slight resemblance as both shows focus around an ‘event’ one being a plane crash on an island and the other being everyone on the planet being unconscious for 2 minutes and 17 seconds amd having a flash of there life 6 months in the future.

The first episode gave us an insight into the main characters and their FlashForward – with some being normal and others being very interesting. To be honest the first episode wasn’t all that great, but the story and actual depiction was good.

If you have any questions about the show then visit FlashForward Forum.

DVD and Movie Deals

Posted on 18 August 2009 by admin

As we all know being a fan of horror movies or any movies that is can be very expensive, millions of dollars go into making movies and we the fans get hit with the bill, which I agree with as we enjoy the movies but in times like these with a full blown recession and everyone trying to save money left right and centre we have a few ways to find DVD and Movies Deals throughout the internet. Usually people will wait months to see the price go down a bit, but why not just find a site that gives you great prices or coupons? Well, to be honest most people don’t want to spend time looking for DVD deals across the internet but a simple search will usually find what you require!

So next time you see a movie priced $25 just have a look around the net to find it cheaper by maybe even 50%

Poltergeist remake 2010

Posted on 13 August 2009 by admin

MGM have released a date for the remake of Tobe Hooper’s Poltergeist, November 24, 2010.

Poltergeist is about a home which was built on top of an ancient indian burial ground and therefore has paranormal activity happening. The original was actually rather good, being produced by Steven Spielberg so it was meant to be good!

Paranormal activity seems to be hitting the cinemas alot lately, but if you have any interest in haunted houses then shoot across to this site here: http://www.hauntedplacesinamerica.com – Just hope that your house doesn’t appear on the site!

Your New Freddy Krueger

Posted on 22 July 2009 by admin

We have waited months to see what the new Freddy Krueger looks like and to be honest, we have to wait a little while longer. The pictures released by Bloody-Disgusting are not in the best light, the typical Nightmare On Elm Street scene… Dark!

We are hoping that because the movie is in post production now that there will be a sneak preview trailer released, but as of yet we have heard nothing.

If you have anything you want to add to this then feel free to leave a comment.

2009 Horror movies

Posted on 08 January 2009 by admin

With 2008 being a very poor year for the horror movie scene 2009 is expected to be better, way better!

2009 is looking promising with a few remakes and alot of great horror movies expected to be released. We hear at Fear Cinema have created a list of the films that we should all have a look for in the following year.

Trick R’ Treat – Four interwoven stories that occur on Halloween: An everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the one guy for her; a group of teenagers pull a mean prank; a woman who loathes the night has to contend with her holiday-obsessed husband. Written and directed by Michael Dougherty.

Friday The 13th – Young friends Whitney (Amanda Righetti), Mike (Nick Mennell), Richie (Ben Feldman), Amanda (America Olivio), and Wade (Jonathan Sadowski) end up missing in the woods near the abandoned Camp Crystal Lake (made famous by the original 1980 film), after allowing their curiosity to get the better of them and visiting the site where a physcopathic killer resides. Meanwhile Trent (Travis Van Winkle) invites friends Jenna (Danielle Panabaker), Bree (Julianna Guill), Chewie (Aaron Yoo), Chelsea (Willa Ford), Lawrence (Arlen Escarpta), and Nolan (Ryan Hansen) to his cabin on the lake for a weekend of sex, booze, and drugs. However their seemingly fun weekend soon escalates into a nightmare after lone traveler Clay (Jared Padalecki) shows up looking for his missing sister Whitney and the young adults soon find themselves face to face with evil reborn, reimagined, and rebooted, and his name is Jason Vorhees (Derek Mears). Directed by Marcus Nispel.

H2 – This is the next installment of the Rob Zombie Halloween remakes. H2: Halloween 2 is due for release Halloween 2009.

My Bloody Valentine – Ten years ago, a tragedy changed the town of Harmony forever. Tom Hanniger, an inexperienced coal miner, caused an accident in the tunnels that trapped and killed five men and sent the only survivor, Harry Warden, into a permanent coma. But Harry Warden wanted revenge. Exactly one year later, on Valentine’s Day, he woke up…and brutally murdered twenty-two people with a pickaxe before being killed.

Ten years later, Tom Hanniger returns to Harmony on Valentine’s Day, still haunted by the deaths he caused. Struggling to make amends with his past, he grapples with unresolved feelings for his ex-girlfriend, Sarah, who is now married to his best friend, Axel, the town sheriff. But tonight, after years of peace, something from Harmony’s dark past has returned. Wearing a miner’s mask and armed with a pickaxe, an unstoppable killer is on the loose. And as his footsteps come ever closer, Tom, Sarah and Axel realize in terror that it just might be Harry Warden who’s come back to claim them…

We wouldlike to know what movies you are most looking forward to this year weather it be a horror film or a comedy we want to know.
