This Week in Horror – Trailers from Hell!

Posted on 28 June 2011 by admin

Caution: While watching the following interview please avoid all contact with water, bright lights and refrain from eating after midnight and above all never ask Joe Dante about the crash-zoom shot from ‘The Burbs’. You have been warned. Welcome to episode #14 of This Week in Horror where we are trash talking about trailers with the brilliant director of Gremlins, Howling, the Burbs and the original Piranha- Mr. Joe Dante. Hosts Matt Raub and Staci Layne Wilson unlock the gates to the underworld unleashing the ‘Trailers from Hell’- hear how Guillermo del Toro used aa fake moustache to sneak into R – rated movies and why Eli Roth’s childhood was corrupted by ‘CreepShow’ and find out just which trailer gets Joe Dante’s seal of approval for worst trailer, it’s a real turkey. Joining Joe is his producing partner from ‘Trailers from Hell’ Elizabeth Stanley, who joins in to discuss the origins of the site and why the art of the movie trailer is quickly becoming a lost one. From the trailer department of Corman to the trailer rooms of hell, Joe has made some of the most satirical and humorous horror movies of all time so if “Any movie can be great at 2 1/2 minutes!” just imagine a whole hour with Joe. Posted on 15 May 2011 by admin

Drive Angry is an over-the-top horror movie that brings together satan, action and a 1969 Dodge Charger. But he is followed by a character called The Accountant whose job has little to do with columns of numbers…. www.euronews.net
