Part This really puts a more Grimm aspect of the classic fairytale. There are no singing dwarves, no ‘true love’ first kiss. And the wicked queen well is not only wicked BUT is human. Her deceipt into the swirls of depression, maddness and vengence is utterly human. It makes her more of a tragic character then a monster that other versions make her out to be. I ADORE this movie, it is a gothic feel to it as it always should have been told. Don’t get me wrong, I have at least seven versions of this classic fairytale.. and a growing collection that I enjoy time and time again. Yes it is available on dvd and yes I STRONGLY recommend you either purchase through your local retail store, ebay, or find it at amazon.com where i found it at an EXTREMELY reasonable price. ^_^ Oh and if you are a member of ColumbiaHouse.com they have it in their selection as well, along with Netflix.com. Yes this is a spooky film but there is hardly any bloodshed or gore, just good old spookiness. However little ones should watch with an older companion or wait until they are at least ten years of age. At least to understand the story a bit more. In either case… ENJOY.

You meet a lot of delusional people in Hollywood. Jack was different. I was his psycologist during his time at Shady Brook. I knew his darkest dreams, his most demented desires. You know that old Halloween story about putting razor blades in apples? Well that wasn’t urban legend. That was Jack. It’s quite common for people to associate with characters in horror movies even to the point of imitating their actions. What is less common is when someone becomes a horror movie. People always ask me, “Does violence in horror movies create someone like Jack?” Well since his escape, I’ve been asking myself that question. Especially since these started arriving, it’s not just that Jack believes these places are real, he wants to take you, like some kind of dimented tour guide. They’re taking people out to these famous horror movie locations at night. Where do you think Jack is? Where do you think he’s going to go? He’s already told me where he’s going to go! There are some places that were born evil. The Bates Motel, Camp Crystal Lake, The Hewitt House, 1428 Elm Street. It’s scary enough that Jack Schmidt believed these places were …
